Jumping? What kind of activity is jumping? Well, I guess it seems kind of silly, but after you see the pictures, you will understand. It is more like falling with style.
It usually consists of a body of water somewhere. The temperature is usually pretty warm and I am usually in the middle of a hike. The body of water beckons, I find a big rock or ledge, and the rest is history...

Gee, can anyone tell the above jump was influenced by my skydiving? What a pose!
Another view of the above location in Kentucky. This was taken by my little brother on a ledge below where we were jumping from.

It isn't always a boring plummet to the water, sometimes we spice it up with backflips...

This backflip was taken in Marquette, MI. This is way in the upper peninsula of Michigan. This means that the body of water was Lake Superior, which also means the water temperature is around 50 - 55 degrees Fahrenheit. B-r-r-r. Beautiful colors though.

This is one of my personal favorites, the amazing hovering body!

The only word of caution I have is that before you dive, make sure the water is deep enough and that there are no obstructions in the water. Even if you always dive there, a tree might have fallen or gotten washed near the site. Look before you leap.
