Wednesday 7/15:
Met up after work with the Chaos climbing group. Saw a bunch of folks I haven't seen in a while including Mark, Jerry, and Patrick. It was great to get out to climb. Haven't gotten out enough in the past year or two because of all the house and life stuff going on. Finally got a lot of that sorted out, and am loving getting out to play a little now. Looking forward to getting the rest of the stuff done in the next month or two; and then getting back to my normal play schedule. ; ) Since I hadn't done as much outdoors lately, (and many of my recent canyon trips travel downward, not up) gravity seems to have gotten a little stronger. It's a little disappointing as I'm not climbing anywhere near the level I used to. Have to start somewhere to get back into shape though.
Didn't do too bad, as I was able to follow a fun 5.10b arete climb. (Thanks to Bill for leading it.) Didn't fall, but came REALLY close at one spot. The other climbs on Tonnere were easier. Two were rated 5.10a's, but more like 5.9 grade. Still, got a few climbs in, for a great end to a good day.
Hope you enjoy the pics!
A.J.
