Sunday 6/14:
My good friend, and main canyoneering partner, Jonas and his wife Misty are moving to Switzerland. This was a farewell hike for them. The weather was a little warm, and it looked like it might rain; but we would make the most of the day. My friend Aaron joined us, who I hadn't seen in a long time as well. Jen, Brian, and Becky also joined us saying farewell to Jonas and Misty; Colorado-style.
We hiked the Walker Ranch loop, which is around 8 miles and a decent amount of gain at around 1800'. We had gotten a good amount of rain the past several weeks, so the wildflowers were spectacular. The weather held off, and we had a great hike along with a yummy potluck lunch next to the river. It was a great day with wonderful friends...
