Most of you already know that Dan was one of my best friends growing up, and has lost his new wife and many children, including their 8 week old newborn, because of a drunk driver. Jodie, his first wife, lost one of her two children. I knew both Dan and Jodie well, and it's a horrible thing to have happened; especially since it was so avoidable.
